Only because anyone disagreeing with the handouts is branded a racist. In fact, I haven't met one non-native who does agree with the constant handouts and know many natives who disagree as well.

pfft...myspace and facebook are fun as long as you aren't one of the creepy fucks that hits on random people. Or a dumbass that leaves a lot of shit on there while applying for a job. If anything you could make a bigger case of myspace tying into the fucking "scene" community where you get all those faggot guys that where eye-liner and womens' clothes.

Whatever, either way, people I know from class or people I met at a party or something the night before can find me. I don't look for people or do much with it, but it's a way for people to come to you if they never got your number from the night before (usually myspace) or if they want to study before an upcoming test (usually facebook). Also really easy to tell people about parties and hear about parties without having to call up multiple numbers in my phone.

Yes of course, and that thickens the plot. Much as I try I can only feign superficial knowledge of the complex causal relationship that's led to the disparity in living and quality of life standards between natives and non-natives today.

I doubt bureaucrats could do much better though, whimsically subsidizing an entire people out of a collective feeling of guilt above all else. If this were merely ineffective that would be one thing, but it appears to be downright harmful. For all our compassion, we've failed to correct their societal problems (and arguably worsened them) through our well intentioned but seriously flawed government imposed solutions.

Perhaps less is more.... ?
