OK...That's what I figured. I searched through all the cvars but couldn't nail it down. Is there a way to get SABot to work with Q4MAX?

The only way to get rid of it would be to make an edited version of guis/mphud.gui - it'd be a fairly simple tweak (just comment out a couple of bits)... but why?

No, you cannot run two mods at the same time, so you cannot run both sabot and q4max at the same time. Q4Max has its own bots though, and hopefully they'll be playable "soonish".
