Can I run dual monitors off a single output vid card?

Anyone? I've never looked into it, but I'll be getting a 22" LCD when I get my next PC. I already have a 20" Dell LCD and I want to use them both.

You could just buy a cheap add-on PCI video card with DVI out.

It may be possible, but it's not cheap. One of the graphics card vendors sells a VGA splitter that can take a high-res output and divite it across 2 VGA sockets.

I can't remember the vendor. And it was a very expensive piece of kit. And it was limited to VGA not DVI.

So yes, you could. But an extra PCI card of the same brand as your main card seems like a better bet all round.
