There is no date of course, but its "expected" q3/q4 2006. Thats all anybody REALLY knows...

At least it wont get pushed out to get an edge on its rivals, *cough* BF2142 *cough*

Pfft! BF 2142 has no chance compared to QW. Not unless they really screw up the game, which is unlikely considering the talent that they have at SplashDamage.

BF2142 started work after QW i think...? And its gonna be out before hand too...

i.e. they will release it half done, and then force you to buy updates for the next 3 years...

I dont think SD are worried about BF2142

and also considering that its going to use the BF2 engine with little to no Mod's done to it...

So basically, they are doing a futureistic Mod for Bf2... and selling it as a whole game

Yes, it's basically what Battlefield: Vietnam was to Battlefield: 1942.

Btw, I had a beer with a guy who works at Dice a couple of months ago, and according to him they're really just doing 2142 because of their contract with EA says so. They're really focusing on a new franchise now, and if there are going to be more Battlefield games after this one, they will probably be made by another studio or in-house at EA.

On Eurogamer.net they say that retailers specify May 25th as a release date. While I doubt it, it could be possible.
