what a bunch of douchebags! I downloaded it only to find out that you're stuck with using the keyboard buttons...not even mentioning anything about controller being activated in the purchased full game.... so as of now I don't even know if any controllers or wheels will work for the pc version....
and to boot you can't even change around the keyboard keys

congratulations you just lost a customer for choosing to douche your pc port.

Erm, the 360 pad works on the PC version, as well as other controllers...?

they don't for me... sure it could be an isolated issue with my system and my logitech controller but this controller is standard shit for pcs, it should work no questions asked.

Fuck the game rocks, been playing the 360 version mostly. Its really smooth, really tight and really good looking. Plus it gets a +10 on coolness because everybody in the game calls me by my name... Sounds so strange.

There's not a big enough "wtf" to dissect this post :(

To change the keyboard settings, DON'T SELECT THE PRESET. Select the custom template and change the keys. Simple as that.

The game's fucking amazing. Nothing like taking out the guy in first on a straightaway and looking behind to see the massive shitstorm that you just caused :)

I think I tried that but at that point I was more impressed by the lack of controller options to care enough.

I still want to try the game out but the keyboard option is as bad of an idea as that holographic sex helmet in 'Demolition Man'

I've always used a keyboard for racing, so I can't feel your pain :)

Me too.
Sounds ridiculous, but I have better control with small taps than with an analogue stick.
Really looking forward to this. Codemasters always deliver and I'm still enjoying the fuck out of Dirt.

Holy shit the online is fun :olo:

Some Serbian kid had a grudge against me for no reason whatsoever and kept trying to vote me off. Next race I was in first and suddenly stopped to let him pass as he would've tried to smash me in a corner. I let him stay in first for about two laps before knocking his ass out and winning the race. Poor cunt ended up finishing second last out of 12 people :olo:

PS. I can't wait to try out the F1 cars in the full game.

i have a wheel and pedals that are handled by separate game controllers, made by different manufactures, and everything still works... I think your problem must exist between the keyboard and chair.

I'll try to reinstall my game controller

btw there is no mention of any game controller options in the Grid demo , or am I a moron?

it either picks it up by default or you're shit out of luck.

played GRID from the Xbox Live Demo download.....didnt like it. Damage is great and fairly realistic as are the graphics....but the handling is shit...yeah I know you cant judge a game by a demo...but I wont be buying it.

what.
you cant judge by a beta. a demo is supposed to be a portion of the final game

downloaded the ps3 demo and this game fucking rocks. boo on the haters who are expecting a racing sim. the idea here is to have an arcade racer with sim like aspects such as damage.

and demos are most definitely not always just a small portion of the final product. more often than not a demo will simply be a pre-release build that was released for press related events long before the final product is ready for release or anywhere near completion. therefore the demo you're playing could have been compiled months ago and is just not being released to the public as a stable "preview" build.

it's not bad... about half-way between need for speed and gran turismo. I may get the final version, i've been needing a new pc racing game. And the sims like rFactor are so horribly ugly, with such ragged UI that I havn't had fun playing a pc racing game in many years. (excluding rally games, codemasters has been pretty good with the CMR games + dirt)
