My FF updated itself from 2.0.16 to 2.0.17 automatically. It suggested updating to 3.0, but I said no. But it did this automatically? Phuqin weird. :paranoid:

It's a bug fix release.
Fixed a problem where users were unable to retrieve saved passwords or save new passwords

If you're still on Firefox 2, do yourself a favor and upgrade to 3. It's much faster.

Yes you wouldn't want to constantly improve the product you put out. You really are a fucking moron.

The latest Firefox is shit. The browser doesn't recognize keyboard inputs from time to time (such as pressing "Enter" in forms), locks up my system (including the mouse) for a few seconds when loading any page with quicktime in it and doesn't seem any faster than the previous version.

And one comment I have to make about "constantly improving products"...that's a fucking lie. I've done enough software development to know that the "latest version" of anything doesn't mean it's an improvement. In many cases features are broken and more bugs are introduced.

Fucking programmers and their god complex.

how exactly does amount of downloads tell us if keyboard inputs are working 100%?
or if its better than a previous version for that matter - see Vista for instance. or Q3 1.25.

I should've been more accurate in my quotation, as my statement was mostly aimed at the first sentence in the quote.

Using that logic you could say that McDonald's is the best restaurant in the world. :smirk:
