Deadwood's quite good.
Especially Ian McShane's performance. He's just made for that role.
The Calamity Jane character is fucking annoying, though.

Also the first three seasons of Nip Tuck are pretty watchable.

I started watching it a few days ago not due to this thread ... to be honest the only reason I'm watching it is because I am running out of new shows ...other than the main character which could do better work with better material the rest of the characters just seem flat and too stereotypical for their time. The stories are also somewhat uninspired to a point where it should only worth an early day slot.

nothing personal but this show doesn't deserve to be mentioned amongst the rest in this thread.

He said he wanted a new drama to watch, it's a new drama that i like. I agree that it needs improvement in the areas that you mentioned, but it has potential. We'll see whether it matures or goes under, but for now I find it interesting.

Some of the shows mentioned here I didn't like...so its all a matter of opinion.

avoid any drama made by the bbc. they make nothing but glossy, didactic piffle with 2D character these days, and their writers need a crash course in how not to suck mammoth donkey balls
