This is the only map that crashes on me while compiling.

Then it's definitely something wrong with your map and not the program.

Mysteriously the other bug has disappeared after removing an object (pentagram) just to be replaced with another bug...

What? It doesn't exist? Of course it exists!

Q3Map2 still won't work and when I try to compile my map in GTKRadiant it says that the compiling files do not exist. And I can only use Q3Radiant to compile, but it only renders half the map because the rest of the map is off the grid.

Seriously, you might want to investigate your map building techniques, I really don't think there is anything wrong with the tools. If you throw a slab of concrete on your table saw, can you blame the saw for breaking? Learning the good basics takes time, stop skipping steps for an "easy" solution only to try and force things to work when they don't turn out as expected. Follow the words of Yoda, "If you end your training now - if you choose the quick and easy path as Vader did - you will become a shitty mapper."

Everything that Obsidian wrote is spot on. You are still very early in your process of becoming a mapper and this is all trial and error. I do feel from what I have read that you are trying to move years ahead in your techniques. Slow down a bit and take time to really read up on all the info that is readily available. Just when I thought I was good I got a slap in the face. Still to this day Im learning new tricks. One of them is BACK-UP your map file. If your trying something new test it first with a test build. That's one thing I have learned over the years. If something fails in the process go back to what was changed in the first place. That's why I test build new things before I finalize them on my map file. I have ran into compiler issues and come to find it was my mapping tech's and not the compiler itself.

I looked for my error and I think I found it. But it says I'm using an old conversion of a compiler. I was using Q3Radiant 202's compiler (I know it's old), but I get the same problem with Q3Map2.

It's really not that hard to find the answer for yourself. Q3Map2 gives you all the right information you need to find the problem. In your log file, read the first line after the first "***error***":
