Google Play
Google Play

Anyone seen this yet? I just noticed it while checking my mail. Seems to be a decent setup, but I'm starting to get tired of all the store hubs out there. Amazon, Google, Steam, Origin...

Re: Google Play
Yea. Seems to have good mobile browser support.
Re: Google Play
My guess is it was intended primarily for mobile devices, but doesn't the Android App store do the same thing? I don't have a smart phone and I never use any app stores, so I have no idea personally.

Re: Google Play
I'm pretty sure we made the threads at the same time. Mine's better, though. Just sayin'.

Re: Google Play
Randomly discovered that you can even control the web player from the lock screen on iOS. I doubt it is unique to Google Play, but that is pretty cool.
Re: Google Play
So this is only available in the US or something? Because if I go to that Google Play site I get the store with Android apps and nothing else.

I favor this thread, because of its correct capitalisation of "Play".

Re: Google Play
It is the old app store. They just changed the look and name. Found this out when I activated my razr.

This thread is confused.
Re: Google Play
Here, BestBuy has two stores on the same street 5 miles apart!
Re: Google Play
Ok that's different. I get the old fashioned Android market in the new Google Play look:Transient wrote:I see this:Eraser wrote:So this is only available in the US or something? Because if I go to that Google Play site I get the store with Android apps and nothing else.

Re: Google Play
Google Play was simply a rebranding of Android Market with some new features in selected regions. For example, it seems NL only get apps while US gets movies, music, books and apps. In Australia we only get books and apps.
Re: Google Play
Btw speaking of Android apps, whoever said Dolphin was a great little browser was correct, i find it very pleasing

Re: Google Play
Yes it's my OCD. I just click open every thread I want to read and close a tab when I'm done with it.Ryoki wrote:So many Q3W tabs open
Re: Google Play
yeah me too. be handy if there were something like 'sub-tabs' in FF, that would kick into action if you opened more than one page on the same domain. be tidier, and you could close them all at once with the 'parent' tab
Re: Google Play
You can, sort of. There's a button in FireFox that has like 4 squares on it. If you click it you get an overview of open tabs and you can group them. Switching groups basically means hiding all tabs from other groups though

... All of a sudden, browser crashes are explained.
