While there has been no indication as to the motives of James Holmes, the suspected 24-year-old shooter who is now in custody, new evidence suggests that he was inspired by the Batman series of comic books and/or movies.

I'd give all my money (not just taxes...but every cent of income) to the first person that creates a "stupid people bomb" that targets only morons who have so blatantly infested this planet.

this. i knew a girl in grad school who was straight up bipolar - delusions, emotional outburst in public, imagined illnesses, periods of crippling depression... and easily finished her MA before disappearing. also, it's not like you need to be some sort of genius to get into a grad program.

Read the articles. He couldn't find a job out of college, worked McDonald's part time for a year, and was in the process of dis-enrolling from graduate school. He was a loner and the type of person people don't even remember.

That doesn't sound like someone who considers their future bright.
