No one needs a machine gun. But everyone has shit they don't need. Do we need the video games we play? No, but they're fun. Just like machine guns are fun. I own a few, and they're a blast to shoot. But I don't shoot them that much (mainly because ammo is damn expensive right now and going through 30 rounds in just a few seconds can be pricey). They're also a great investment. Resale value is extremely high and the collectible guns do nothing but become more valuable as the years go by...

You can't grab a video game during a meltdown and go murder a bunch of people.
