No matter how many layers of "pretty" are thrown at it.

I now play on a server called minerap.com. It's pretty cool, it's super close to vanilla, you randomly spawn in the world which is 10,000 x 10,000 blocks. There's no global chat, you can only hear people who are near you. Griefing is allowed and there's no claiming land to prevent people from modifying your land.

I have a secret underground base that has yet to be discovered and all around the play is pretty sweet. People you run into can be hostile or friendly, you never know. Alliances form and city's get built and destroyed. I've raided a few bases I've stumbled upon, lots of fun to be had with this game.

Hey mjrpes have you seen the tiny blocks mod? Looks like it works on multiplayer servers and would let people make really compact redstone circuits for their buildings. Seems like it could be pretty cool.

Unless you really want the vanilla redstone "rules", you'd be better off looking into Redpower. It's got a ton of extra devices that look like repeaters, but are all kinds of gates in one block. Also has timers, wires you can run up walls, color coded wiring so you can separate circuits right next to one another, even a type of wire you can run 3 different color signals through.

Very impressive mod, but maybe adds more than you want. I'm not sure if you actually have to install all of it, but it adds some gems ores for tools and stuff that I really don't think is needed.

Only problem is it still hasn't been updated for 1.3.

On another note, I always wanted to blow up a huge hole and like mjrpes, fill it with grass, and build something in it. Looks good, but needs more stuff!

Tekkit has EE, therefore Tekkit sucks.

Was actually seremtan's hole. I got inspired to make the bottom interesting.

We've switch from survival to creative + worldedit. Worldedit makes terrain shaping possible.

I have plans to build a long, meandering scenic river that uses 256 height. Will have alpine/ice at top and forest as it gets lower.

All these redstone mods seem to require a client mod. I'm trying to avoid that because everyone becomes dependent on the mod and no one else can join unless they jump through hoops.

Since seremtan asked a month and a half back. Jump on the server now and I'll make you creative too (not sure how to switch people unless they are online).
