It would be the start of WWIII if everything does start kicking off. I could see Russia siding with china and the USA/UK with Japan. Then when they are all going at it, Iran etc invade the US/UK and we are all fucked.

Neither the Chinese government nor the Japanese government want a war, so it's not going to happen.

The Japanese goverment only bought those islands to prevent a Japanese far-right winger from buying them, who would not have been good to the Chinese. Only the idea that the Japanese government might consider nationalizing the islands, which they have no intention of doing, has outraged some Chinese people who already hated Japan cause of WW2.

Japan and China have strong trade ties and have nothing to gain from a war between each other. The Chinese authorites have told rioters to stop and are clamping down on them; many Chinese people meanwhile have expressed embaressment at the riots; people smashing things up in their own country.

This is not how wars start. Goverments start wars, not rioting maniacs. Apart from civil war, but no-one is talking about that.

Last I heard about China and Japan, China said they were going to build a bridge between the two countries, and when China says something like this, China means what they say. China said the bridge would help boost trade between China and Japan and improve thier international relationship, with a stronger bond between the two. They are not about to destroy their relationship.

The people rioting aren't rioting because Japan bought the islands (already owned by a Japanese national), they're mostly rioting because they're selfish shitheads with nothing better to do. They go to Japanese restaurants, order tens of thousands of rmb in food, then suddenly at the end of the meal stand up and yell "GO CHINA, DOWN WITH JAPANESE!" and smash the restaurant to shit then run away. They are destroying Japanese cars and Japanese trinket stores- all owned by Chinese, but they don't give a fuck, they just want an excuse to channel their suppressed rage and steal some things.

Photos have identified a number of off-duty/plainclothes policemen taking part in the rioting as well. Another form of extortion by the communist party, they can't resort to overt military action so they do their best to shake up the rowdy masses to cause economic damage to Japanese factories. The irony is that if these protests were against the government, they would literally be rolling out the tanks.

The communist party is so good at playing the victim card even when China is the aggressor thanks to decades of brainwashing the public about the "hundred years of humiliation", and the trope that China was bullied for years because they weren't united under communism, and that is what will happen again if the communists lose control. As a result you have great throngs of John Q. PingPongs who are fuming at non-existent slights and insults, crying for military action because the government media told them that their collective feelings, as mongoloid automatons of the party, have been "hurt", or that once again the imperial batarian hegemony is "interfering in their soverign affairs in order to contain the rise of China". Smh.
