I don't mean that in a bad way, I probably should have said "discriminating" . I have no problem with anyone who is interested in searching out brewing or distilling perfection.

And coors lite is one of the coldest tasting beers in the world, but it is also one of the most weakest tasting beers too, I know I put away a shitload!

I've been hearing that since Schlitz will give you the shits never have had the shits because of beer and I've drank a lot of beer in the last 26 years :icon26:

If you like pilsner, try Pilsner Urquell. I'm pretty sure you can find it down there. It's brewed in Plzen, Czech Republic the birthplace of pilsners. I'm drinking one now. Damn fine beer, it's got a bit of a bitter flavour kind of nutty, very crisp.

I've had Pilsner Urqell, it's a good beer. :icon14:

I like this stuff very much. I've tried their India Ale too which is quite good.

Not a big stout fan but drinking oyster stout (Marston's) while eating oysters owns.

Murphy's is a great stout, nicer than Guiness I think.

Chimay Grand Reserve is also one fine Ale From Belguim. Expensive but with the taste smells and potent 9.0% ABV well worth every penney.

I actually picked up a 6 pack of Sam's Double Bock (not the chocolate version, which we can't get in Ohio) last week. I can't stand it. One of the few crafted beers that I don't like.

OTOH, any Chimay brew is execellent.
I've got a couple more bottles of my own home brewed "celebration" ale which is kind of a cross between Sam Smith's and Great Lakes x-mas ales. I also have a batch of Belgian Dubble that I need to bottle. Both are very high ABV. 2 pints and you've got a really good buzz.

The Winking Lizard has been nominated for best beer program in the USA for a few years now and won it a couple times. Yummy stuff. I've definately become a beer snob since starting to brew my own and drinking all these different beers from around the world.

Oh and Duvel and Orval and mint, too. My favorite brewery for a while was Ayinger. The make several excellent beers including Celebrator Dopplebock.
Porters, stouts, wheats, crafted ales and lagers, and just about anything Belgian. Those Belgian monks know how to make a damn good beer.

Kirin and Sapporo are pretty good beers too. Kirin's a lager I believe, but I'm not sure exactly what Sapporo is. It's been a while since I've had it.

As far as American breweries, you can't go wrong with Sam Adams, Great Lakes, Stone or Rogue. Fat Tire is good as well, but harder (for me) to find.

You can rate beers, search styles, etc. So, if you find a beer you like, look it up, find the beer you like and start trying other similar ones with decent ratings. Great way to weed out the chaf, so to speak.
