I've had no trouble running it on year-old nvidia drivers.

i'm running on the latest official nvidia drivers, everything on high without any problems.. yet everyone recommends the new BETA drivers

TBH, didn't really play yet.
Only got it this morning and quickly tweaked and benched it before work.

And things looking 'less realistic' is bs. What previous game looks more realistic?

Well, just because you add a ton of motion blur and have 2048x22048 paralax textures, it doesn't mean that its suddenly gonna look lifelike. Half Life 2 in a few places REALLY stands out and fools you when you take a quick glance.

It still seems to me like even Crysis cant get foliage right, which is odd because the older pictures of it looked amazing.

not that it matters, but why say these guys are US delta force, and then put a foreign guy with a heavy accent on the team?

The whole story telling is shady, half-baked and duck taped together. Only reason Crysis is good is for it's game engine and the multiplayer.

No, Crysis will be good because they are going back to the easy to mod roots of yesteryear. So we should see some awesome things from it. The editor looks amazingly easy to use.
