it was kind of expected, sweden was said to be our toughest competitor in the roster .
IMO Swedes came out strong and never let go, it was inevitable

its interesting that spain, greece, and russia were in the same group last time around. maybe that makes the greeks feel better?

I tell you one thing...greeks seem to work better when they are considered the underdog....maybe we can't handle the pressure of high expectations lol
for all their good attributes new greece is lazy and above all they want to live a good life...lol so sad

no, that placing them with pretty much the same teams as last time and they were able to do it last time should boost their morale.

What the hell was greece doing. The first half especially was painful to watch.
indeed, the Greeks just kept passing tha ball around on their own half of the field, dunno how they figured that was a good idea
beautiful goal by Slatan too
now we just need to beat Russia (because I don't think we'll beat Spain), and we're on to the 8ths

Me too.
Have a Turkish colleague who got all hyped up about this match today, and I don't want to have to console him tomorrow.
I wonder if this weather keeps up and then if the refs decide on a rematch.

hehe...yea, a german-dutch revival is always great.
But as you already know from the past: we will beat you anyways ...
This happening in the final would be great though.

We've moved on from that
We'll just concentrate on the most important league in the world, the premiership and see you in two years
