This season ain't bad. Not as great as seasons of the past, but still good. Better than most shit on TV...

I don't think that would work unless Dexter abandoned his usual routine of having solid evidence of a person's guilt before killing them.

well, he's playing pretty fast and loose with his code so far (all those disapproving harry cameos), and frankly that element of risk is the only thing that can keep this interesting, so yeah: it's a definite possibility

In summation: Dexter has gone a bit into a weaker phase writing-wise, but still better than 99.7% of shit on tv

Yeah I considered that point, seems like it would sway too far from the usual code though. Still is an interesting possibility though.

i liked how dexter got his code mixed up; definitely shows some cracks

it's like he's in the process of forgetting that he kills to appease his dark passenger, and has gotten lured by the idea of avenging wrongs for their own sake

maybe if the writers kicked around that idea for a while things could get interesting. it's always been latent in the whole dexter dynamic
