All I can picture now is a pallid frenchman in a boat with a little fishing rod telling trouts in a net that he just crushed their ego's.

Finally back home over here, no more having to be surrounded by air force wannabes and their p90x tapes, headed to the real deal tonight for a workout and tomorrow morning I'll hit this one:
http://games.crossfit.com/compete/worko ... b-wallball

here's how that one will go down: my hands will definitely tear open all over the place on the toes-to-bar, and the wallball shots and pwr cleans will destroy the low back. going to be a rough 20 minutes :(

Duhard did shoulders and delts. Next he's going to do chest and pecs.

Tomorrow I'm doing squats and that one exercise where you put the bar behind your back and then go up and down.

I found a great exercise that hits the gastrocnemius and calves at the same time feedback. Let me know if you are interested in seeing it.

tnf, can it maximize the torsion on my sternocleidomastoid though? I need more dorsiflexion.

Hey NO Shotgun has an actually university study behind it...

http://www.jissn.com/content/6/1/16

Effects of 28 days of resistance exercise and consuming a commercially available pre-workout supplement, NO-Shotgun®, on body composition, muscle strength and mass, markers of satellite cell activation, and clinical safety markers in males

Purpose

This study determined the effects of 28 days of heavy resistance exercise combined with the nutritional supplement, NO-Shotgun®, on body composition, muscle strength and mass, markers of satellite cell activation, and clinical safety markers.
Methods

Eighteen non-resistance-trained males participated in a resistance training program (3 × 10-RM) 4 times/wk for 28 days while also ingesting 27 g/day of placebo (PL) or NO-Shotgun® (NO) 30 min prior to exercise. Data were analyzed with separate 2 × 2 ANOVA and t-tests (p < 0.05).
Results

Total body mass was increased in both groups (p = 0.001), but without any significant increases in total body water (p = 0.77). No significant changes occurred with fat mass (p = 0.62); however fat-free mass did increase with training (p = 0.001), and NO was significantly greater than PL (p = 0.001). Bench press strength for NO was significantly greater than PL (p = 0.003). Myofibrillar protein increased with training (p = 0.001), with NO being significantly greater than PL (p = 0.019). Serum IGF-1 (p = 0.046) and HGF (p = 0.06) were significantly increased with training and for NO HGF was greater than PL (p = 0.002). Muscle phosphorylated c-met was increased with training for both groups (p = 0.019). Total DNA was increased in both groups (p = 0.006), while NO was significantly greater than PL (p = 0.038). For DNA/protein, PL was decreased and NO was not changed (p = 0.014). All of the myogenic regulatory factors were increased with training; however, NO was shown to be significantly greater than PL for Myo-D (p = 0.008) and MRF-4 (p = 0.022). No significant differences were located for any of the whole blood and serum clinical chemistry markers (p > 0.05).
Conclusion

When combined with heavy resistance training for 28 days, NO-Shotgun® is not associated with any negative side effects, nor does it abnormally impact any of the clinical chemistry markers. Rather, NO-Shotgun® effectively increases muscle strength and mass, myofibrillar protein content, and increases the content of markers indicative of satellite cell activation.

Wow, that's pretty interesting. I'd like to see the effects after discontinued usage as well as effects on intermediate+ athletes instead of rank beginners.

Eighteen non-resistance-trained males participated in a resistance drinking program (3 × 10-Litres of beer) 4 times/wk for 28 days while also ingesting 27 g/day of placebo (H20) or Alcohol-Free Beverages® (NAB) 30 min prior to first urination. Data were analyzed with separate 2 × 2 VODKA and t-tests (p < 0.05).
Results

Total drunken stupor was increased in both groups (p = 0.001), but without any significant increases in total body volume (p = 0.77). No significant changes occurred with fat-free mass (p = 0.62); however fat mass did increase with drinking (p = 0.001), and H2O was significantly greater than NAB (p = 0.001). Beer press strength for H2O was significantly greater than NAB (p = 0.003). Myomyheadhurts protein increased with drinking (p = 0.001), with H2O being significantly greater than PL (p = 0.019). Serum IveGottaPiss-1 (p = 0.046) and projectile vomiting (p = 0.06) were significantly increased with drinking and for H2O was greater than NAB (p = 0.002). Muscle phosphorylated c-met (laziness) was increased with drinking for both groups (p = 0.019). Total mutant DNA was increased in both groups (p = 0.006), while H2O was significantly greater than PL (p = 0.038). For mutant DNA/protein, NAB was decreased and H20 was not changed (p = 0.014). All of the mysogenic regulatory factors were increased with drinking; however, H2O was shown to be significantly greater than NAB for Mayo-on-rye (p = 0.008) and sausages (p = 0.022). No significant differences were located for any of the whole blood and seminal clinical chemistry markers (p > 0.05).
Conclusion

When combined with heavy resistance drinking for 28 days, Alcohol-Free Beverages® is not associated with any negative side effects, nor does it abnormally impact any of the clinical chemistry markers. Rather, Alcohol-Free Beverages® effectively increases muscle strength and mass within the drinker's own mind, Myomyheadhurts protein content, and increases the content of markers indicative of satellite radio cell activation.

Changed my workout routine yesterday to add in plyometrics and interval sprints/walks.

My ankles are killing me, I only jogged for 10 minutes at 8km/h. I think my running form must suck.

When it comes to running, make sure you're not wasting energy moving side to side or up and down, just forward. Elbows should stay around 90 degrees and your hands should go from your pockets to your shoulder level.

My problem seems to be with the landing. I'm running barefoot, and I'm concentrating on landing toe-centric, but I think you might be right in that I could be deviating side-to-side just slightly as my foot hits the floor and my stabilisers activate.

I feel completely relaxed, maybe too relaxed, actually, because my shoulders and neck feel a bit wobbly when I run.
