Why's that? In my personal life I don't answer to anyone but myself. So if I want to do something "legal" I can do so without any consideration of anyone elses opinions or beliefs. That's why it's "legal". Why do you act (maybe it's not an act) like such a fucking tool on the internet? If you're answer is anything other than, "because I can" you've got some major issues that you need to consider.

Ok, so you like guns, you feel safer with a gun, and you've fucked a man.
So you're a phallus-substitute worshipping, scared faggot. Got it.

Is everything you do done with calculated reasoning? Why would you go to a movie, play putt putt golf or go bowling? Why do non professionals play sports?
How are any of those things even slightly like carrying a concealed weapon? You're lending more weight to the argument that you're either paranoid or seriously lacking in self esteem

I like how you took "hobbies" out to help make your stupid point. But what you seem to have overlooked is the fact that EVERYTHING is dangerous if done improperly or without care.
Hey Geebs, you're not so good at this whole internet discussion thing. I really hope your patients care is better than your abitly to present and defend your position. I urge to quit wasting your time trying to harass people on the internet and focus more on your ever changing craft. You're a doctor FFS.

Because only a stupid person, or an animal that can only act on instinct, doesn't understand their own motivations beyond "because I can". Noone is disputing the issue of who you answer to in your real life or whether you should take anyone else opinions or beliefs into consideration. You're simply being called out on your inability to provide a basic explanation as to your motivation beyond "because I can". I act the way I do at this forum a) because I enjoy doing so and b) because I don't believe this particular forum deserves better. See how easy that was for me to provide an answer other than "because I can"? If you had a mentality greater than that of a child answering "because!" when being asked why they did something naughty or that of a non-sentient animal acting on instinct then you'd be capable of doing the same.

Shooting at the range is a hobby, leaving aside the ugly NRA-is-descended-from-the-KKK association. Carrying a weapon in daily life isn't. Do you have the abitly to understand the difference?

Why do people have hobbies? Mainly because it's something that inerests them. Guns interest me, and the laws in my country say I can carry them concealed if I have a permit. So since I have a gun and the laws say I can, I carry. And before the rest of you morons chime in, it should be said that every hobby or past time has it's very own risks. As long as you are careful and respectful of others, everyone comes out ok.
yeah, i get that guns interest you. if i lived in your country i'd probably enjoy going down to the range at the weekend. sounds like fun
however, you're being obtuse again. the question isn't about shooting as an interest
per se, it's about the reasons you carry, which is a separate issue. i enjoy crazy golf, but i don't carry a putter around with me everywhere. you're saying that the actual act of carrying your piece around under your jacket is itself a hobby?(especially knowing that you can't even let anyone else even see it under normal circumstances without breaking the law) that seems kinda weird
unless of course everyone has been right all along, that you carry out of fear

The only reason I'm entertaining your repetitive questioning is because I know based on your previous posts that you've shown a general interest and this is not a troll. Because of my respect for your interest, I've answered your questions honestly and I will try again this last time.
I understand your point. But playing golf and fishing aren't EXACTLY the same as shooting a firearm. However some people do carry their golf clubs and fishing poles with them throughout the day in case they happen upon a situation they could use them. If that situation does arise, they'd be glad to have had their clubs/pole with them to use. Do these people live their lives in fear of missing out on a round of golf or the next world record catch? No. Well this is how I look at my CCW. I'm not planning on shooting anyone, I dont have a desire to shoot anyone and I'm not afraid of anyone. But just like the clubs or fishing pole, I already own the gun and it wouldn't cost me anything extra to have it with me. So why not bring it along? Who's it going to hurt? It's not going to jump out and start shooting people on its own. In fact, it may ultimately end up saving someone's life.
Now that's the best I've got. There are no other ulterior motives or extenuating circumstances. If that's not enough, call me a liar. Because there's no other reason I have to offer.

The reason for walking around with a loaded gun has gone from "because I can" to "why not?".

I went shooting today. The new .308 functioned flawlessly and the EOTech site was nearly zeroed out of the box. The rifle is so light and well balanced, and the EOTech is so effective that I was able to consantly shoot an 8" target sitting or standing at 50 yards. Lots of fun.
Sorry, no pics.

You didn't have to shoot any attackers on the way to or back from the shooting range?

That's the reason you carry a weapon everywhere you legally can isn't it, to shoot an attacker?

If you had a gun, wouldn't you use it if your life was in danger?
