Pilots will be required initially to fly these UAVs remotely, but eventually AI will take care of flight and humans will just supervise the flight path and override the AI control only if it malfunctions.

Shoot even in general flight pilots wil still be around regardless

No, no they won't. Pilots in manned aircrafts can only take so many G's.
Pilots that remotely control UAVs have a more secure job, and probably won't be replaced entirely even as AI takes over.

I'm talking about combat pilots of course, not all pilots everywhere. They will be around for much longer.

The more technology increases the faster it increases. I'm not much surprised by anything anymore. The difference from today compared to when I was a kid is staggering.
