If you had component, then you had the better of the two.

Component = red, green, blue
Composite = red, white, yellow

Make sure you set the XBox display to 1080p, too. Or are u some kinda 1080i TV owning fag0t?

btw, do yourself a favor and get the component cables for the wii (red, green, blue) and set it to 480p in the menu.
