How can you be a republican these days without being a christian? They don't stand for anything else...

What about private property equates with being a republican though? I've never known any democrats who were against private property.

Fair point on the guns (I guess), unless you live in the south. Here in the bible belt, everybody loves them some guns. You're either a republican, or a southern dixie-crat, if you're going for a party. =\

You say that as if it makes you some sort of enigma.

If you really thought there were any complexities to your character, you wouldn't have been so quick to throw a label on yourself to begin with.

I believe I mentioned my political affiliations a long time ago. Specifically, That I'm a Republican in and older sense than the bible thumping, gun toting, freaks you people think are Republican. Go back to Rome a couple of thousand years ago. Start from the beginning. Also, I hang on yer every opinion of me, after all, you know me so well. We've known each other forever, huh?

Actually, you did. I don't spend my time trying to have "complexities" or crap like that. I have no such vanities, and presumptuous people irritate the shit outta me. No big deal... I'm over it now. :D

What happened to 'hearkening back to the republicans of Rome?'

I couldn't care less about your beliefs, TBH -- I just want you to make sense is all.

It's just a flaw of mine: I try to understand the things I read, even when it's an uphill battle.

*for size reference*

It's an AR pistol, chambered 5.56/223 with a 7.5" barrel. It has a polished stainless steel barrel, YH Carbine quad rail and PMag flip-up sights (I still need to get the rear sight).
