I think the reason why he carved it into his arm instead of getting a tattoo is because tattoos are for cunts.

Not the worst movie I've ever seen but it was incredibly dull.
Huh, I was pleasantly surprised by it. Saw it without expectations and was not bored at all for the 2 hours or so. I liked the interaction between Bruce Willis and the 3rd Rock from the Sun guy. Also thought the ending was cool and unexpected, not very Hollywood. Like an 8/10 for me.

I also saw it without expectations but spent the whole film waiting for something interesting to start to happen. The entire film felt like a build-up to something cool and it just ends. The ending had me going "well that was incredibly pointless".

Pretty much that ^
The film feels like waiting in a queue for a carnival ride

saw a bit of the UK version of Retreat and said to myself, damn Zoe is hot, turns out it's not her but like a duplicate/twin. So i imdb'd Mission Impossible 2 cause i thought it was Zoe Saldana, nope, it's Thandie Newton, then i thought maybe twin sisters ? fuck me, i've been loving Zoe but looking at Thandie all this time, at least i know Zoe is in Avatar/Colombiana.
fuck you

Mad Max - Err, I might be the only one that thought it was a bit simple. 6-10.
New terminator. Yawn-10.
Age of Ultron - OK, maybe it was over hyped for me. 7-10.
And a few others on a flight that i can't remember because the hostess got me drunk.

You cannot watch Fury Road on a small screen without proper sound. I first watched it in IMAX, which was fucking incredible. One of the greatest action films I've ever seen. The second and third time was on a 70" TV without surround sound. It was still really good, but you're really missing something without that good sound. The amazing sound and score of the film was half the fun...

Martian was OK. Book way, way better. Movie gave you no sense of how unendingly long Watney's time was on Mars. Also the entire third act of the film was too rushed. Needed to be a three hour epic like Interstellar.

Saw the original The Thing on 70mm at the cinema last night. The print had lost its blue hues a bit so it was all quite a lot more more pink than it should have been, but that aside the actual definition was absolutely great and the sound? holy fuck
They don't make 'em like that anymore. What a film.

1982 one ?, one of my favourite films that. Have watched it to death now though

Maybe, the films definately more about the visuals than the dialogue. I thought Ultron was pretty average though and I'm usually quite kind to superhero movies, was a bit of a let down after Avengers and Guardians n all, even Winter Soldier. Jus surprising you would rate that higher than Fury Road

Tell Spring Not To Come This Year 8/10
Doc i found on Netflix that follows a company of heavy weapons dudes with the Afghan National Army after the Western troops left. So it's quite recent. Very interesting stuff, mostly because the unit is completely open with the documentary makers about everything, including making death threats to a national police unit they suspect of not taking their duties seriously. No media training i guess.
Aside from the war stuff it contains lots of shots from one of the most beautiful places on earth that almost made me want to go there - and quite a few conversations between people who never had an education about anything. It's like talking to children, very strange.
