They already did that a few months ago.

example :my rent is $1295 a month ..in nunavut i could rent close to 40 houses for what i pay in rent.
the eskimos pay $32 dollars a month in rent and that includes heat hydro sewer and water and they get $2700 for food a month.

a few times a week someone fakes sick and gets medivaced to Winepeg . in one week $70,000 was spent sending 18 year old kids with fake tummy aches to a hospital in Edmonton .. they do it all the time to get a free trip out of town.

last week 2 kids pretended to overdose on Tylenol yet no medication was in their system .. that's $14,000 you paid for 2 eskimo kids to have a holiday.

the more i live here the angrier i get

I like how "you're not trying to be racist" yet use the word Eskimo.

That is true, but whenever they answer Israel's rocket attacks, helicopter strikes, tank assaults, and so on, it is referred to as murder, attack against civilians, lack of morals, etc.

So do i.

Probably a combination of the military wanting revenge for the kidnapped soldier and not thinking it through very well and the goverment (which as i understand it for the first time in years lacks anyone with any serious military experience) wanting to prove it's not a bunch of pussies when it comes to handling the Palestinians.

But invading south Lebanon and the Gaza strip just seems very, very silly to me. It's a wasp nest they only very recently escaped from, i can't imagine they can keep this up for very long before public opinion turns against it. Again.

Meanwhile Hezbollah and Hamas can't believe their luck: they're gonna get a whole new influx of bitter teenage idiots in their ranks with all the blowing up of civilian targets the IDF is doing, and more importantly, greater political power. Israel ignoring the elected Hamas goverment saying they're just a bunch of terrorists was also stupid, now they have to deal with people that are even more radical.

Yeah, i think this is gonna bite Israel in the ass.

Yeah, funnily enough, suicide bombing civilians who happen to be in a cafe or mall is usually viewed as murder :icon27:

Israel also does some truly atrocious things. However, my point is that suicide bombing is only damaging the Palestinian cause because the rest of the world finds it hard to have much sympathy for those who deliberately blow up people on their way to work. If the Palestinians were to target the Israeli military and avoid civilian targets they would probably find a lot more support from the international community.

aye, but not soon enough to save palestine. this tit for tat stuff is bullshit. if they're (israel/palestine) going to solve their problems then they need to talk it through regardless of what's happening in the streets - then enforce the new order once it's in place. indiscriminately violent anti-israelis don't have to hide their criminal actions from their neighbours. this isn't northern ireland, the same rules just don't apply.

every arsehole that's ever done the olive branch routine with palestine understands that but says they need to stop fighting anyway, and feels safe in the knowledge that nothing will ever get fixed unless israel wants it fixed. israel (who are in a position to bring about positive change) understands that too and makes sure they keep up the spectacular retaliations for any palestinian violence. the cycle won't be broken until israel crushes palestine or drags her allies into a war.

i've been drinking btw.

thats a load of emotive bullshit (if shit cna be emotional) not soon enough to save palestine my arse, the palestinian people arent going anywhere and are not dying out,
oh I just read ur last line. Israel is (i think) deliberately working to create regime change in palestine, they want hamas out, and have international support because of what hamas does and says.

actually the world's people don't find it that hard at all to sympathise. it's their respective governments that are the problem. israel knows keeping governments in line is all they need to do, so provoking the palestinians when they prefer to negotiate is a great tactic

ironically, the last time israel invaded lebanon ('82), it was after provoking the PLO (who had held to a ceasefire, just like hamas now) into retaliating, and using that as an excuse. israel has always been terrified of any palestinian leadership that prefers peaceful means, because it puts pressure on israel to make a settlement (which they don't want to do). a violent school-bus-blowing-up palestinian leadership on the other hand is much preferable - a PR gift to israel
