What's the verdict on this game?

Controls in the demo feel a bit laggy. Characters and story generic. Still worth getting?

gfx are amazing, story and gameplay a bit underwhelming. Multiplayer is where its at.

I gave the copy to a friend. Couldn't play it without getting nauseous. Bit strange cause it didn't happen while playing the demo (which was awesome at that time).

It's looks pretty, the design has a lot of atmosphere and there are some truly jaw dropping scenes. Unfortunately that get's overshadowed by the fact that most of the game looks the same, none of the characters are interesting, there is no real sense of a story and having so much look the same makes it really repetitive. Enemies fight decent enough but your teammates AI is truly pathetic. I played it on the "hard" setting and for about 90% of the time they were lying wounded on the floor screaming for help. Eventually I just stopped reviving them because it became a real drag.

The game scores around 90% everywhere. If it was just visuals, I totally agree. But overall I would have given it a 75%. It reminds me of FEAR 2. I had some fun playing it, there were some memorable moments but it was quickly forgotten and so will Killzone 2.
