Now there is more then enough glass to make the underwater place that shaft was working on! along with enough gold for them to line it like they've started to do!
edit: they are even using my gold on the aircraft carrier! ( awesome so far btw! )

The worlds are randomly generated on startup at a certain size. As players explore, new terrain is generated on the fly and saved for others to explore as well. This allows for an "infinite" world.Whiskey 7 wrote:![]()

Really, infinite being about 8x the surface of the earth (takes up around a petabyte of space on the harddrive)

Not even anywhere close to how large the world can be.

Seems like I'm not the only one

Cheating is lame. The skill is in actually salvaging the resources yourself.
A pile of gold would only impress me if you mined it the natural way rather than using some sort of silly command.

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
do minecarts work in mp? i built a track at the /applestore warp down to DooMer's gay area and it never works right. explain?
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
The learning curve is much much lower than radiant and blocks are easier to work with as a basic entity. I dabbled with radiant and ironically I am getting way more creative gratification out of minecraft than I even did with a level editor.phantasmagoria wrote:i dont quite understand the appeal. why would i make pixelated block things in this instead of just making a map in hammer/radiant/some other map editor/creation tool?
The other thing I love about minecraft is starting with a random world and molding its contours to fit your vision. Especially true with the cave systems below ground; I've spend hours exploring them on the server, linking them together, and fixing them up. It's a lot of fun.

They're bugged. Hopefully fixed next patch.Big Kahuna Burger wrote:do minecarts work in mp? i built a track at the /applestore warp down to DooMer's gay area and it never works right. explain?

Thought you guys might be interested in seeing a top-down view of the entire server's generated world.
