He just saw the phone and decided he was dead anyway? Fuck it, call 911, hide the phone and get them busted instead.

Yeah yeah, I'm bitching about it again but we just hit the halfway point, and it took me till tuesday to get around to watching the ep when I used to be eagerly waiting for the first upload after it was over.

1,2,4 - Good shit on dexter
3, meh
5 is a wash as far as I'm concerned. There'll be more and more "close calls" where Dex barely pulls it out for suspense, at least 10 minues an ep of laguerta/angel bullshit no one cares about, and lumen is going to be a huge fucking pain unless she Dexters up and stops being an annoying pissant.

Only thing I can see redeeming this season is Dexter taking Lumen under his wing (Born in blood and dark passenger talk mean this is a possibility), and also if they do Quinn's hunt on Dexter right it could be good. So far the Quinn sidestory has been boring shit as well tho. Every episode he finds out a bit more nothing.

From what i read in this thread the show appears to be shit nowadays...

There are certainly some facepalm moments, but still a good show overall. Now with robocop.

I bet all my posts that he was talking to Quinn - or someone else that Dexter knows - on the phone.

I have no idea why Dexter didn't immediately pick up the phone and check what number he dialed. I'm sure the writers have watched too many episodes of "Lost" to purposefully leave that bit of info out.

Quinn is a long shot I'd guess, but I wouldn't put it past then to weave the person on the other end into his life somehow.

Why do you think that so strongly? It seems like it's just as likely they're some sex slave traders who Dex and Lumen are going to rage on.

Edit: Ooh, not someone Dex knows but maybe Quinn's PI is in on it.
