Well it looks like I'm not.Captain Mazda wrote:Why are you flying to Thailand during a global pandemic?MKJ wrote:Working from home, two kids who suddenly need impromptu homeschooling. While also in conf calls n such.
These are going to be long weeks.
Hope my flight to thailand doesn't get cancelled :&
Can confirm aliveness. Also flying home today.xer0s wrote:I asked Donny the same thing. Except he was in Budapest. May be dead by now...
Lots of Canadians are still flying to their vacation spots and it's extremely irresponsible of them. I hope they get locked out of the country.MKJ wrote:If you're asking, why do you have tickets to Thailand it's because I bought them before all this craziness happened.
United States of Retards :alert:Eraser wrote:At least Floridians are doing their part
You're in New Brunswick right? A decision like this needs to be federally mandated and it should've been done at least two weeks ago. Restaurants here are finally closing but it's only at the provincial level and not a legally enforced measure.Κracus wrote:Every store, shop, restaurant is open as usual.
Apparently stupidity is also a global pandemic...Captain Mazda wrote: This entire continent is full of morons.
Coward...Κracus wrote:Yeah it's kinda stupid. At least I haven't been called in to work at the hospital yet... I may develop a cough if they ask me to...

I'm kidding of course. The reality is that I'm already out here risking my health while 90% of my co-workers have been sent home. If I was going to fake a cough to get sent home I'd have done it already. It does piss me off how many people are coming to work that are supposed to stay home though and it does worry me to get called into the hospital but if it happens and I'm healthy then I'll be there. The private sector needs to shut down though, the projected death toll numbers are absolutely bonkers.xer0s wrote:Coward...Κracus wrote:Yeah it's kinda stupid. Lol calm down.Κracus wrote:

Funny how us people on the spectrum haven't been completely surprised by what's happening in the world in the last month :dork:MKJ wrote:For the people on the spectrum in our midst:
I was hoping the world would be in such a state that it would be safe to fly by the time I was supposed to leave. This is looking increasingly less likely with each passing day.
Ireland closed pubs down 36 hours before St Patricks day. I don't think I've seen a more serious crisis.Doombrain wrote:Lol calm down.Κracus wrote:

Err, yes. It’s like a series of tubes.seremtan wrote:with people WFH and staying in, is the internet infrastructure going to being able to cope?
I actually don't think so. If you look at how quickly it spreads governments should have been on top of this weeks ago. They're estimating something like 500,000 deaths due to this virus... I'm not sure if that stat was worldwide or just the UK...Doombrain wrote:They pulled the trigger too early, that’s for sure to be sure.
