Surfing in the ocean is for poor ppl... All u need is a board... Surfing behind a boat is where it's at... But u gotta have a boat designed for it and that's out of range for 99.9% of surfers... Lol poor ppl...

We stayed 3 nights in Vieux-Quebec because it's beautiful this time of year and Mont-Tremblant rates sucked. We spent our entire third day at the Stoneham Resort and the conditions were perfect. Lol'd hard that Toronto finally got snow the first day we left and it was all gone by night. Quebec really puts Onturdio to shame...

Well, Happy New Year to all

Me, well i am writing a list of 'to do's'. You know, the stuff you'd like to do but can't find the time.

Top of that list is a couple of local mountains, well landmarks I'd like to climb. No, not the Obsidian way but a good walk up trails I would think are ahead of me here.

Other points of interest for me to visit are a cheese factory (haven't been there in 50 years) and an ECO Cruise to the local island, mostly declared national park.

I threw in a couple of interesting places to take a picnic

Spent new years weekend up in Sacramento at the Sacanime convention. Bought a lot of weeb shit I don't need but w/e.
Met the creator of La Blue Girl, the Tentacle Master himself; he autographed a couple of his doujins for me. Nobody else I was with seemed all that excited or even interested in meeting him.
Snagged a Pyramid Head figma and a gundam figure + some ridiculously expensive out-of-print illustration books. I also came across a single Junji Ito book, Uzumaki which I snatched up immediately.

Meeting an ambassador from Zimbabwe to Canada and getting to know her on vacations in Guatemala. Pretty interesting.
The new, and of now, Guatemalan President is a Comedian. He used to have a comedy show on some local TV channel. That is a Middle Finger during the elections, I guess.

I imagine Guatemala is an interesting place so even if you can't get 'selfies' with the President/Ambassador local shots would be appreciate by many here.

Guatemala is a very nice destination.
It covers two coasts (Atlantic and Pacific). All kinds of altitudes, thus florae and faunae from 0-4000 meters Above Sea. It has several active volcanoes that you can actually hike up as far as possible due to activity. The people are mostly very hospitable and friendly, especially if you don't oust yourself as a "Gringo". History is still in their minds. Google CIA influence and child adoption/human trafficing from Guate to the US. They had a civil war from around 1965-1995 with the CIA involved in which a lot of the indigenous people were annihilated. Genocide is still something some politicians accept or decline.
It is corrupt as hell and a landfill inbetween the most violent traffic of the world; drug-traffic from South America to the US.
South of Guate you have El Salvador and Honduras with San Pedro Sula being the world's most violent city in 2015. To the North is Mexico with all it's cartels.
An average guatemalan lives on 200 Dollars a month.

As horrible as it sounds, come visit this small country.
It is beautiful and so are most people there. The small town of Antigua is safe all around the clock. From there, book your trips to desired destinations with guarded groups.
Lots of private spanish schools in Antigua as well. A little spanish goes a long way.

The funny thing is and if that's funny

the packaging as old says

STOP
Run the installation first
before connecting the device

If you do this you end up you fall down that damn rabbit hole.

Haven't had any need to write any lately. That's good I suppose.

On another note and OT, I was digging around my stash of PC stuff, looking for power/sata leads. I then fitted a spare SSD and HDD to the new rig and found a receipt for my mobile telephone I've had for years.

It was much longer than I had imagined. The receipt is dated 16 September 2006

Hello Annu

I write back asking for assistance to fix the error here I experience on your product.

It is the adapter causing the problem and not others programs. I have proved this extensively. A TP-Link USB adapter works fine. As per screen shot attached the little window with that error message appears (and disappears on clicking OK) when I connect to the internet.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a number of times but please, send me a link for them. This PC is running Windows 64 bit Home Edition.

Yes I am able to access the internet via this NETGEAR WNA3100M but ALWAYS get the "failed to run service" error message appear on boot up.

Wondering how to make my Nest Protect talk to my wifi network again after i changed the network name and password from default to something funnier and easier to remember than the default name. Check out this wonderful tip from the support page:

The simplest fix for most Nest products is to update your home network so that the network name (SSID) and password are the same as before.

...what? Fuck right off, how is that good advice? Guess i'm gonna have to call their nerd hotline when i get home - it's either that or actually read the manual
