Why don't you go look up the word practical. If it takes you more than a half a second to figure out that arguing about the practicality of something is completely based on ones interpretation of what is practical, you’re a moron.

I’ll also add that I’ve given clear reasoning as to why I enjoy firearms. If you would go back and read, you’d see.

I understand the point that you're trying to make about subjective interpretation of the word "practical", but it simply doesn't apply here. Biathlon is complete frivolity, it has no real-world application unless you're a poor cross-country skiing farmer. Last time I checked, you don't ski much in Florida.

I've been asked many specific questions that don't apply directly to me. I've also given many answers that apply to those specific questions. Don't try to imply that my opinions or responses are changing, because they aren't. This entire topic has been one change of tact after another. It is not my fault that once someone loses a position they angle for another. My position remains the same.

1. Guns are not bad. People are bad. Bad people will continue to kill others with or without guns
2. I carry a gun because I have one and the laws where I live say I can. I didn't purchase my gun/s because I fear anything or anyone. Furthermore, I got my CCW because it's a right that I chose to take advantage of.
3. I buy guns because I enjoy shooting them, working on them and learning about them. I'm not paranoid about the foolish notion that the economy is going to collapse and I will have to protect myself or that Obama is going to ban the purchase of the firearms I own.

I view my guns more like fishing poles or golf clubs. And going shooting to me is like going fishing or playing a game of golf. I don't go because I plan to kill or harm anyone. I go to have fun doing something I enjoy. If you can't understand that then I don't know what to tell you.

I have a carry permit, but I rarely carry my pistol anywhere. What is the difference between you and me in that regard?

When I use to run a service van I carried a fishing pole. I also had a boss who always had a set of clubs in the trunk of his car. But I haven't fished in awhile and I'm not a golfer.
