If those goals aren't motivating you enough, you should find a new reason to train.

Personally, I train because I want to look good, especially on the beach and at raves. This motivates me so much that going to the gym is the most important part of my schedule, having approximately the same priority as going to work.

Until the last month I have been motivated, hence asking if people ever get unmotivated at any stage. I know I shouldn't be and there is no real reason why as the same goals still stand but there we are. Actually done better the last 2 sessions. Diet changes have helped...

I seriously don't think I'd make it to the second sprint.
I pussied out and scaled it to 45kg and managed it in 12:57
Add 6 minutes on to get my 60kg time I think

Maybe you just need to change things up a bit? That is, if you can or are allowed to within the constraints of your training goals.

When I feel a "lag", I figure it is a matter of focus and enjoying what you are doing.

On occasion I will take caffiene. But what works most for me is that I routinely change just about everything.

I drink coffee, but not usually every day. There can be positive health effects but, without proper binding to proteins etc, an abundance of coffee (read: caffeine) spikes your cortisol in your adrenal glands causing an overload to your pancreas etc and eventually scars your arteries that will then collect cholesterol and give it enough time you will get a heart attack, Geoffrey.
