Well, a month is a stupidly long time to wait if I'm honest. That service needs a good kick up the arse too.

true. it took me 2 weeks to box it up though so the long wait is partially my own fault

still, they said it would take a maximum of 14 days, which is tomorrow. therefore, i shall be calling them shortly

Will people really be charged to have their consoles repaired because of a game patch that was downloaded through Live?
Wonder how they're going to handle this.

prolly not. if its a known problem theyll just flash its bios and send it back or summat
i must say im impressed with the quality of service they offer. much better than say Pioneer :E

Well if you notice the 360 forums everytime a game patch comes out someone cries that teh patch broke their console. It's usually only a handful of people crying while the large majority says nothing is wrong. I'd chalk it up to a bunch of paranoid trolling mongs. The 360 forums aren't compromised of the sharpest knives in the shed either.
When's the last time you heard of a software download that killed your computer hardware? Not taking bios flashes into account.

Tear apart said guitar.
Remove strum bar
Theres 4 small smooth plastic spots that 4 small nubs on the strumbar collide with.
Use the SOFT side of a velcro strip on those 4 spots on the body of the guitar.
DO NOT velcro the strumbar itself. You will fuck it up.
Its really easy. Once you pop it open youll see exactly what i mean.
I just got done opening up my guitar to take a look at it. I took a piece of cloth and laid it across the center of the strumbar where the rubber knobs make contact. It reduced the clicking noise completely, so now there's just a little tap of plastic-on-plastic that I can hear. It's just enough for me to be able to keep rhythm with a song, but not too loud that it's distracting.
Oh, and an adverse side effect is that it made the strumbar more sensitive when using it in fast parts of songs.

I thought I saw Mr emka while I was on lunch :icon26:
I tried the demo of BBR but it seemed kinda lame compared to other musical offerings.

it used to work fine with the other console. the router settings havent changed. i wonder what i did with the other one that made it work

It probably has a new IP since its a different MAC address and the port forwarding is pointing to the wrong place.
I'm lucky enough to have UPnP that works so my consoles 'just work'.

have the IP set to manual, 192.168.1.20 as it was before.
router has unleased the mac addy of the previous console, too

Yep, I just wasn't sure it would still help since I did it a little differently, I think.
