So, are we going to start seeing Russian bad guys in movies again? They were always much cooler than the middle eastern fad... I just can't take them seriously.

I thought North Korea was the "evil foreign government" in most movies/games these days?

Actually we might start seeing some Chinese/North Korean/Middle Eastern/Russian hybrid bad guys leading entire organizations filled with Chinese/North Korean/Middle Eastern/Russian hybrid bad guys intent on blowing up the whole world just to upset the American heroes.

i recorded and watched all the sunday talk shows and only 1 show(face the nation) even mentioned that georgia started this war....and bob only mentioned it as an aside. that should have been the first question asked of these morons and explanations should have been demanded...instead all i heard was russia aggression this and that and how they are reverting back to the soviet union.

now ukraine is offering the us control of their missiles....this shit is rigged...

i watched 10 / 15 mintues of sky news and thats pretty much all ive watched of mainstream news since this incident began, they said that georgia is far from the innocent party twice, i cant recall them going into detail about it though, but they were more interested in showing russian tanks in georgia and then interviewing a load of people that said this shouldnt be tolerated (if they were)

How about this one (I originally found it on C&L)...

A 12 year old and her aunt (both Ossetians) blame Georgia for the war during a Fox News interview. Obviously, that wasn't the sort of thing Fox execs didn't want the audience to hear, so they cut them off to "go to commercial" and then after commercial (while they were still telling the audience what's happening) the host chimed in about "well...that's certainly what the Russians want...":

Hilarious...yet nauseating to watch. It's also funny that the aunt bluntly told the host "yeah..I know...you don't want to hear that" before they cut her off to go to commercial.

The only reason Fox News is still on the air (and the reason the cause of this war is still being "debated") is because Americans are stupid fucks who are too lazy to inform themselves from any source that doesn't have the flag on-screen.

Yes. I've actually played it for my parents (who - until then - believed Fox News was a real news outlet) and I recommend it to everyone.

Most people WILL look at you sideways when you tell them the MSM are lying to them. They give you an even funnier look when you tell them that Fox News is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Republican party. It just doesn't click with them...until they watch Outfoxed or The Daily Show (it's whole existence is to mock the MSM).

I've also got my parents hooked on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. These days I can actually have a decent conversation about world events with them without getting frustrated and wanting to call them stupid motherfuckers to their faces.

You could have them turn the tv off altogether but that is probably ask too much in this day in age where there is a screen in every conceivable direction. Cmon.. you don't think colbert and TDS are not mainstream media? n1gga please.

TBH...I'm not sure anymore if those shows are simply "comedy" or actual news. It's more than obvious that any viewer of any episode will walk away hearing something they didn't think about or didn't notice regarding the absurdity of what's being fed to them via the MSM.

Perhaps people are being informed. Perhaps those shows are considered "media". They're definitely "mainstream" but it's a fucking sad thing that people turn to comedy shows to find out what's really happening in the world...

...but I guess this has been true since before the days of the court jester.

It's all a waste of time if you ask me. The show ends, then whatever is after it begins and that's the end of whatever idea was planted in the viewers conscious mind.. so why watch at all?

I doubt that...unless the viewer is nothing but a channel surfing moron with A.D.D. tendencies. There are alot of people who fit that description but I have hopes most people get something from it.
