This thing is going to own the new xbox - you all know this right?

"Oh, Boo-Hoo - half the RAM??!!"

You people shouting bigger is better never learned the first thing about computer architecture and will be suprised as hell when a piece of well engineered technology beats the pants off of grossly-overcompensated junk-ware and illegal marketing :icon19:

PS - the picture and specs are probably both fake - but I have faith in a company like Sony to pull off amazing things with even minimalist technology - which isn't even really what they're talking about. Paralell processing with smaller, more efficient CPUs will always beat the pants off of in-line multi-cores (even if they are big badass P4s) - especially in specialized applications like graphics. CELLs will not be hip in home computing, for example, until there's a nationwide or global network of them, but bunched together in a single machine designed to do one thing - play games - it's going to own the competition. There's a reason so much money and research is going into this...

It still wouldn't suprise me if the thing looks totally different when it ships

People are so hungry for sneak peaks, but when it comes down to it companies respec designs plenty before they have a finished product.

All that said, the real specs are incredible. I may actually have to buy a console

It's kinda looking that way. Why 3 NICs anyway? Is it going to be a router too? LOL.

I thought that when i saw 3 on the back, its very odd... Unless its the new way to connect ps3's together? For multiple ps3's plus online?

word, i really dont get that

although i was sceptic about the first playstation controller too and i think its the best controller out there so..
theres really not that much to get

releasing basically the third controller of the same type in a row wouldnt really imply much of a change or anything. so they made this look a little different.

it's great (and expected) that the PS3 will support Blue Ray, but let's hope Sony's learned their lesson in regards to video playback from the PS2.
