My guess would be Luke has been a hermit for decades (hence why Han has to explain that the stories are true). So there will probably be a huge reveal when he is finally shown on screen. Maybe not even until the end of the film...

i got me imax tickets for the 17th. That means A New Hope was the only film i didn't watch at a cinema on release.
