Okay, back again and sobered up.

The last weekend (until Monday night) was terrific, BUT: We stayed mostly in Cambridge (where my friend lives), so the big surprise was mainly the house he lives in (it's huge, and he is immensely rich, no shit - pictures to prove will come soon, promise).

Anyways, here is my idea for the perfect evening / weekend / whatever we wanna have.

Meeting date: Friday, 23th September 2005, between 19 and 19.30 p.m.
Meeting point: London, Picadilly Circus / in front of Tower Records.

Setting up this late has mainly two reasons:

1. I just came from England and can't stand to go there any earlier than September hahahaha.
2. We all got some time to cash up and organise our 2 - 3 day holiday.

Whoever got any idea on where to stay relatively cheap in London is really welcome to tell us all.

That sounds good, but wouldn't it be better to actually meet in a pub? Otherwise we will be standing around and some people may turn up late and we will be gone, and they won't know where the fuck we are.

That's a good idea, but I think Picadilly is very easy to find.

Judging from that date i could manage it if the stay isn't too expensive.

depending on peoples budgets, it might be worth looking at hostels.
there are plenty of decent enough ones around the city centre.

things to look for/remember:

• * do they require photo id?
  
  * are they central/easy to get to?
  
  * do they allow smoking?
  
  * do they have 24 hour reception/no curfew?
  
  * do they have internet access?
  
  * what percentage of the guests are fuckable australian/kiwi girls in their late teens/early 20s?
  
  * do they have lockers/secure storage?
  
  * are they regularly host to criminally insane/overfriendly scots/scousers?
  
  * ..or twitchy foreign nationals with dead eyes that can't speak a word of english but can silently fieldstrip/reassemble an m4 in less than 20 seconds?
  
  * do they provide pillows/blankets/bed linen?
  
  * is there food available onsite or nearby, is it 24hr?
  
  * is the probabilty of being robbed/raped/kidnapped and sold into slavery as a kings cross cockholster sufficiently low?
  
  * are there upper or lower age limits for guests?
  
  * is there a laundry/laundry service?
  
  * what are the toilet/washing facilities?
  
  * do they have public/assembly areas?

you also might want to change the timemargin. half an hour is not much if youre driving all the way from wales, or better yet, from the continent. who knows what kind of delays can pester folks.
