Well, no. Unfornutely, you seem to be a bit slow. I think I eplained it was the reaction that amused me. Nad if I needed it, I really think I would be hearing posting all kinds of different pics on at least a weekly basis. I haven't posted regularly in ages.

I do wish that you guys would be intelligent enough to understand the difference between wishing to stir something because you are amused at the reactions/results as opposed to the genuinely sad need some people seem to have for interattention/approval. I have openly been very close to some of the more notorious people among our groups...I seriously think the craving attention thing is an overused flame angle toward me...there is no way I am going to ever have approval if I haven't earned it by now. And if I have, how much could I really care since I am seldom online that much anymore? This make sense to anyone with a brain cell or two functioning?

Well, no it isn't.

How is that contradictory?

People enjoy what they do.

I suppose generating some kind of reaction might require people to pay some attention to what you do so that they react. But I think where the mistake/misunderstanding comes in is that people think the attention is what I am after as opposed to the amusement the reaction (attention to what I say/do does cause this) brings. I am not sure it is any healthier, but it is the truth.

I have been around the biggest trolls in this place for years and to my way of thinking they did no different: they did something to achieve a reaction that amused them. Because I am female and there is divided opinion over whether I might actually be marginally attractive and I will post pictures, I suppose that puts into some minds the idea that compliments, etc. are all I crave, as opposed to the sheer amusement people like raw or sys0p or jns might like.

This is kind of sadly tired. If compliments were what I craved I would not post amongst this group that constantly flames me for them. Now whose posts are contradictory?

Hey, I'm highly attractive and I post pictures, I know what you mean. I think on a place like this, most people are just looking for stimulation from other people when they are alone, but also some sociopathy too. Well, to be honest, I really wasn't trying to insult you. Maybe I could rephrase the "you seem to be slow" and make it, "you just don't seem to understand my real motive...think you could drop preconceived notions for a bit and understand that my motive might not be at all what you are implying"?

I am not sure I understand why you referred me to that thread. I once did spend a lot of time online. You could ask a lot of people: raw, SaTurN, CWM, sys0p, Jackal, jns, the Torments....I could go on and on. But what that has to do with this conversation I just am missing. I will admit to being the slow one this time.

I do not intend to relapse, no. But if I chose to come back here and post from time to time that does not mean I am. It is different now. I can walk away for months when I please, placing things as the correct priorities in my life. But like anyone, I can continue to choose entertainment where I see it as a lower priority.

you just seem so lonely, it seems like what you crave is empathy. That's what I think other people mean when they say you want attention. Internet communities I guess can be attractive for people who are lonely, especially people without social skills because it is possible to take your time and think, and there are always other lonely people around for the human contact we all crave. I started looking at everything in life one day as addictive. If you do something too much it feels like the only thing you can do. Good luck, I hope you overcome your computer cravings.
