Man it feels good to be in demand.

It was one of those classic scenes too.

Our boss was saying " this is my crew"

The guy we've been working for the majority of the last 2 years was saying "I've got the work, I can take the guys to another company and be fine."

I smell more raises in the near future. Thesse guys are some upper range heavyweights in the oilfield around in the 300 mile radius.

We also just turned down a very good job offer recently to another company.

There's also a couple more that would be very glad to have us.

I want my own rig and a 50% increase in pay.

I can just about guarantee I'll get it too.

I could see the fear in my bosses eyes that we would leave.

Good workiers in the oilfield now is a very rare thing. They know a good thing when they have it.

Which is why the offer that we turned down was 'We'll do whatever it takes to get you to come over'.

Good evening Scourge
Hope you enjoyed all of your vacation.
It goes pretty fast.
Whenever you have your own oilfield...And I'm sure you will.
How will you named it? Scourge Oil Fields International?
And what type of a logo/icon you are thinking of?
Make me a preview of it. You are good at that.
Good luck.

I doubt seriously that I'll have my own oil business but it has crossed my mind. I've probably only got maybe 20 or so more years of working left in me and really need to start thinking about some kind of retirement.

Man! How old are you?
You look like 30something on your picture.
Plenty of time ahead and you are good in your own field (jeu de mots)
If you are good at it, you can do it and you are good at it.
It is just about the same as when thinking to change for another employer but this one is you. C'mmon you can make it.
I'm sure.
Please prove I wasn't wrong.

38 next month. But the body can only take so much abuse. I actually feel like I'm in my 50's. It's a very hard job and takes a lot out of me every day. You don't see many people over 50 in what I do.

May be but when you are in charge of it, you tell them what they have to do with your best knowledge/experience and you just have to supervised. Isn't it how it works with your boss?
