Gentoo, but the transparency is credited to the newer versions of Xorg (the x-windows system). I'm using Fluxbox, which is a re-hash of Blackbox, because Blackbox is poorly maintained for linux.

I am using XGL, of course. Compiz looks neat, but I thought it would be a resources hog. I might still play around with it if the functionality outweighs the resource usage. I'll post some pretty screenies if I do install it someday.
