Half-Life 2, EP1 and Day of Defeat: Source ran butter smooth, on all settings maxed out.
But Team Fortress 2 simply refuses to run smooth. Its seems as the lower setting I use, the worse it runs.
On max settings it runs ok, but is jitters every now and then. I am hopping this is a beta only thing.

And another funny thing. When TF2 beta just came out, I had no significant problems of any kind.
Now 4 patches LATTER, I have all the problem that people had BEFORE the patches. What the fuck? :paranoid:

make sure you make a report for Valve on that..

i'm sure you arnt the only one to have it, but Do it anyway..

p.s. have you de-fragged the game files at all? ( it done by Going into the game properties in Steam and clicking on De-frag )

True, thats the best fix for the Pyro and Soldier I can imagine. A bit faster rockets, and a faster Pyro. Then it would be perfect.

Now I'm going to defrag my TF2 game files, and see what that does.

They buffed the Pyro today, making it so that his flame does more damage and doesn't contract when running.

No, its out on October 10th few more days.

They released a few more updates, the one I love the best is the new "Minimal HUD" option. It reduces the size of the original over-exaggerated HUD, and makes it out of the way, and non existent, so I can concentrate on the action and not the HUD. And it removes the butt ugly black bars "fake wide screen effect" from the spectator view when you die. Now the game is complete, finally the way I like it. I only have one more problem. Spawn. Times. Holly shit!! If you suck you wait 25 seconds, and you cant happen to be in the middle of the countdown, no you allways start from 25. But the less you suck, the shorter your spawn time. Todays games are overly gay with spawn times, remove them. Go Quake style, for fucks sake.

Turbine, the maximum spawn time is 20 seconds, not 25,
And coming from an RtCW background, I like spawn times.

Fov is stupid on everyone. Its been fixed, so my understanding is you can up it a little now.

Spawn times are there for a reason.

Could you imagine defend maps with no respawn? It would be stupid as fuck.
