You think we waste Gooks for "freedom"? This is a slaughter. If I'm gonna get my balls blown off for a word, my word is poontang.

Are you quitting on me? Well, are you? Then quit, you slimy fucking walrus-looking piece of shit. Get the fuck off of my obstacle. Get the fuck down off of my obstacle. Now. Move it. I'm going to rip your balls off, so you cannot contaminate the rest of the world. I will motivate you, Private Pyle, if it short-dicks every cannibal on the Congo.

I have the entire first half of the movie pretty much memorized. R. Lee Ermey is fucking harder than woodpecker lips.

Session 9 - 8/10

bit of an underacted indie film (david caruso is the biggest star in it, so thats saying something), but the camerawork, editing and story are great.

A team of healthengineers get the job of a lifetime when they are to make an abandoned insane-asylum asbestosfree. When one of the guys finds a box of recorded therapy sessions, strange things start to happen. Without telling anyone, he obsesses about these 9 sessions and neglects his job.
Listening to the different sessions seems to bring out the worst in his co-workers, though.. :(

oh yeah. There were no good comedies playing so we went to see Ultraviolet last night, proving that there were in fact good comedies playing. Honestly, it was one of the funniest movies I've seen all year. Couldn't stop laughing.

Kingdom of Heaven: 5/10. It makes baby jesus cry that all that money ($130 million) was tied to such an average storyline and script. Ghassan Massoud (Saladin) is the only one on the stage who commands your attention...and he's got oh maybe 25 lines or so. :/ Ridley fouls one off into the opposing team's dugout.

Lord of War - 6/10

Passing grade for the visuals and it was just a pleasure to watch, but I didn't like the jokes or the anti-weapons propaganda. Too bad the movie had a "mission", it could've been a good flick.

Alexander Siddig did a great job too, I thought. I'd have to watch it a second time to tell you more though. (Maybe I'm mixing it with his role in Syriana.) I wish he'd do more film. The new movie he's in slated to come out this year has Ben Kingsley in it, so it will probably be incredible.

I assume you mean the 4-disc set which includes the director's cut (190 min). Injecting or tacking-on another 45 minutes won't change the fact that the other 2.5 hours is an underachiever's wet dream.

I knew I recognized that guy (Deep Space 9), haha. Yeah he was good...but the actors really had very little to work with...and for someone like me who digs ancient and medieval history, a kick in the undies. Ridley's technical skills were in top form....but I have a feeling that the story treatment and script were completed via committee (probably because of the massive budget)...result: barely coherent low-drama dotted with a few eye catching action set-pieces.

BTW, a nice popular treatment of this period can be found in James Reston's "Warriors of God"...very hard to put down.
