Never used one myself, but I think you load the nail and the charge in, then smack it with a hammer and the charge sends the nail right into the concrete. I would assume you need special nails for this. Make sure you nail your head to the wall when you're done

Buying a "Shot-Gun", charges and the associated fastening nails for such a small projects is silly. Tapcons are the way to go.
