What if I'm due for a discounted upgrade and I need a phone with more storage because I have more photos and I like the idea of a slightly larger screen and I enjoy the idea of learning the ends and outs of a new phone and like the fact that it will run faster and more smooth and I can sell my old phone to Gazelle for the exact price that my new phone will cost me. Then what?Memphis wrote:brb gotta get a new phone to replace my old still practically new phone with nothing wrong with it whatsoever because marketing tells my poor sub-standard, chimpoid, shallow consumerist brain to do so

My phone is 2yrs old....you on the other hand bought your note3 a few months ago and started making threads and jizzing over the note4 a couple months later...grow upscared? wrote:Lol shaft!...Memphis wrote:brb gotta get a new phone to replace my old still practically new phone with nothing wrong with it whatsoever because marketing tells my poor sub-standard, chimpoid, shallow consumerist brain to do so...
No its not, come back and talk after you've owned a smartphone.Memphis wrote:Then you're even more pathetic for such self-deluding efforts to rationalise the wanting. People are constantly replacing their old phones...people like xeroes aren't the norm and phone manufacturers would be dumb not to constantly update their hardware..we aren't talking about devices that are only used to make phone calls.losCHUNK wrote:It's a Phone that does the majority of the other phone though that will be replaced before the year is through
Not sure if you've ever owned one, but a smartphone is more than a phone...Memphis wrote:Then you're even more pathetic for such self-deluding efforts to rationalise the wanting. Did you miss the part where I said I will sell my old phone for the price of the new one? This upgrade will cost me nothing. Not that it matters if it didn't. I don't brag like Geoff, but a few hundred dollars is nothing to me. I'd like to think this argument isn't about money, but I'm beginning to think some of y'all are just butt hurt cause you can't afford a new phone (which isn't even that big of a deal)...losCHUNK wrote:Still a tool, money saved is money earned.
Lets be honest, they all do the same, small storage, speed and screen increments doesn't justify the pricetag.
It costs you the price of the old phone and we're not butt hurt over price we laughing at the delusional excuses - like it costs me nothing. I havn't decided what phone I'm getting yet but when I do I'll be skipping 2 generations, I doubt it'll be an Applie either.xer0s wrote:Did you miss the part where I said I will sell my old phone for the price of the new one? losCHUNK wrote:People replace their old phones cos these manufactures tell them what they need. You for example never liked the large screen sizes ? (sorry if I'm wrong)
They would be retarded for not upgrading hardware, but people jumping on the bandwagon after each generation of phone are morons. Like I said a few posts back, the screen size, speed and storage increments doesn't justify the pricetag. People are better off staying behind the curve because the technology becomes a quarter of the price once a new generation is out for not much loss / gain.
It is consumerism at its finest.
lol maybe if it wasn't made of plastic it would've survived....scared? wrote:Actually dipshit... My phone is a year old but I dropped it on a rock from 30 feet up while cutting down a tree (alpha male) and the screen cracked...
Like I said, a tool. For valuing such small increments at such a high value that mr average joe can do on his last gen phone, it's why these comapanies are rolling in cash, along with EA etc...shaft wrote:losCHUNK wrote:People replace their old phones cos these manufactures tell them what they need. You don't know what justifies the price tag. Everyone on the planet has a different opinion on the value of their money. As with most technology you accept what advancement has been possible due to R&D. Saying someone should hold out till a company somehow fabricates what a consumer deems valuable....well enjoy waiting for your quantum computer. I choose to upgrade when my contact renews at two years because to me the subsidized price and the ability to sell my old phone for half of that to a faux anti consumerist with no expendable cash like yourself is worth it.
Consumerism makes the world turn and gives you a job. Don't be a dipshit.
