I was reading a little history about the Sky on board. Her maiden voyage was out of New York in 1999. She is on the smaller side (far left).

But she's still in pretty good shape.

Here's a pretty cool shot leaving the port of Nassau.

Cruises are shitty when you have young children. Quit shitting out kids and you'll be fine.

A short weekender cruise like this doesn't give you a lot of time to explore the island. But from the limited time we spent ashore, Nassau seemed very similar to other Caribbean cities we've visited. The coastal economy is heavily dependent on tourism, the poverty rate is high and the city's infrastructure seemed dilapidated. However, these areas are always rich in culture. The music, the colors and the atmosphere are all worth experiencing. And the tropical landscapes make every trip worth it.

This cruise was nice. We never felt "stuck" on the boat. Between being at port during the day and all of the live entertainment at night, there was always plenty to do. Never mind the pools, shopping and casino. We also didn't have any issues getting on or off of the boat. We had to wait about an hour to board. But that wasn't their fault. The ship was supposed to start boarding at 12 pm and we arrived early. And we literally walked right off of the boat with a very brief (less than a minute) stop at customs.

Then you simply don't like cruises. So quit going on them.
