a wack job.
heh, normally i would think it's all bullshit, but if she could really speak in languages that supposedly she had never studied before, that's pretty cool.

That is if it wasn't a few slang or common words here and there that she could have picked up anywhere. If she actually spoke in coherent sentences, that's pretty creepy.

Interestingly, the "demons" became active only in the course of religious practices, mainly exorcism. They refrained from interrupting her daily activities at school and with friends, working primarily to agitate her growing sense of isolation.

"An upcoming German-language film called Requiem by Hans-Christian Schmid has been announced, and the individuals involved promise it will be truer to real-life events."

I'll be checking that out.

ice age 2
6/10 - great animation, everything else was thinner on the ground than in the first one.

They're not bad if you use them just for an indication.

Quite a suspenseful thriller. I liked the whole courtroom aspect rather than just an exorcism horror movie. I'm interested to find out how much was actual fact.
i watched it and i think it was not good at all.

the suspense was far away from what you've usually got in good suspense horror (nothing new, boring direction/scene setup).

the courtroom action was far away from good courtroom movies (the alcoholism get's some attention but is then dropped entirely).

all in all: 5/10

the movie is a combination of the law and the suspense genre but fails at both ~ AND it fails to make a good connection between these two.

It certainly wasn't a masterpiece. Sure was entertaining enough as an afternoon dvd for me though.

Just got back from Scary Movie 4, just another funny parody movie like the rest of the series. Good stuff.

King Kong. 9/10

I loved it. I don't care about all the physics discrepencies and what not. It was a good movie. Only gripe is I really don't care for Jack Black.

DOOM 6/10

I liked it, but it could have been a lot better. They strayed too much from the game and kinda cheesed it up. But, overall not a bad rental movie.

V For Vendetta - 7.5/10

Good movie but hugely overrated. Natalie Portman was incredible (and hawtt even with short hair), and Hugo Weaving was good too, but the characters themselves -- if not the actors -- were really flat (especially Stephen Rea/Inspector Finch! I mean way to have a character on screen for 90 minutes of the movie and not actually give him a character to play!). The movie dragged a lot during the second act, and somewhere around the torture scene I just stopped caring for a while until things picked up again around the domino scene. I also found that a lot of the dialogue was undermic'ed, so you couldn't make out a lot of V's words.

There were plenty of other things I took issue with, but I still enjoyed the movie. It's kind of like the definitive post-9/11 rebellion movie -- some sort of hybrid of 1984, Dark Angel, The Matrix, and Equilibrium. I feel like it could have been better though.

Green Street Hooligans 8/10

not bad flick, dont know why Frodo was in it...but it was still good, shoulda ended a little rougher.

The Football Fatory: 9/10

I'm a big fan of John Kings books, and the movie was as spot on to the book as much as I would've wanted. Hope they make more of his books into film. Was much better than greenstreet...Dealt with the same firms, Chelsea and Millwall.
