Yeah BI2 has been panned in a big way by the critics.

"Dawn of The Dead(2k4)"
Fast and furious! Fun! :icon14:
What "Land of The Dead" lacks is there! :icon26:

Yeah I was very dissapointed by Land of the Dead. I expected more from Romero. Did you know they are bringing out a remake of Night of the Living Dead this year in 3D? Should be fun.

I know nothing about Night of the Living Dead.
What do you mean by 3D? Game?
I might google that keyword later though.
Anyway it seems to me that it implies a lack of original idea.
By the way last day I downloaded game version of LOTD which is based on ut2k4 engine and it was also disappointing as hell.

"Ocean's Eleven"
This really sucks. Just a snobbery.
And typical hollywood movie which implies a nasty message from the power to common people. :icon13:
Blood Pit smokes and eats burger at one time or another, which implies that this movie was possibly sponsored by companies which spread unhealthy materials.
Edit:
Oh, the rent dvd contained spy-ware.

Night of the Living Dead is one of the classic zombie movies directed by the legend himself, George Romero in 1968.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063350/
It was then remade in 1990, this time directed by Tom Savini.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100258/
Night of the Living Dead 3D is the second remake, scheduled for release this year, and is filmed in 3D.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489244/
Just thought you might be interested as you seem to like the zombie genre.

Thank you law for your links.
I've just hit the same via google though.
So what do you mean by 3D? Full-CG? 3D-Glasses? :icon25:

This is in my Top 3 movies of all time. It's a 11/10 imo, but I won't start on the philosophical points that make me love this movie so much.

god that was awful. what made it extra-shite was the fact that you could probably make a better zombie game just by modding ut2k4 itself and using remodelled spider mines or something.
no black folks in the 3d remake of night of the living dead?
dead and breakfast - 1/10
the 1 is for a scene in the film where one character is on the phone to another, telling her friend that she won't be able to make it to her wedding. the friend is angry, and the character says "christ, it's not like it's going to be your only wedding". that made everyone in the room laugh.
if that bit's in the trailer, you never need to see this film. ever.

Mortal Kombat.
Cheesy as all hell but I quite enjoyed that element. Staid quite true to the game too which never really happens in game to movie adaptations.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 6.5/10.
Ever since I've moved here people have been on my ass about watching it, which made me put it off even more. I was hung-over and bored today, so I figured I'd check it out.
I'll jump on the Johnny Depp bandwagon and will admit he makes the fucking movie. His acting while they're driving through the desert in the beginning and when he's tripping on acid when they first get the hotel and sit in the bar is worth watching alone.
I ended up getting pretty bored about half way through though, it just feels like nothing's happening and the plot just isn't interesting.
6.5/10 for the first half, the rest is meh.

Fear and Loathing does lose momentum after the initial drug frenzy, but the dialogue is still great.
The drug conference comes to mind, or when they "unleash these pigs" on Christina Ricci.

The book is FAR better than the movie, Depp or no Depp.

Assuming that Depp's voice-over is the actual text from the book, I'd have to say I would have understood most parts either differently or not at all without the movie.

Inside Man
pretty good, kept me wondering throughout the 130 minutes it ran, but the twist failed to deliver IMO. i mean it was ok but nothing mindblowing as they were building up to.
oh and the gta bit was terrible

Hmm? I think the movie stayed admirably true to the book...

I liked it, but it could have been a lot better. They strayed too much from the game and kinda cheesed it up. But, overall not a bad rental movie.
Actually just saw that today.
and I agree 6/10 is the right score.
its completely not-scary, and by removing the hell aspect and making it a biological sci-fi story it got too much of a half-life feel. But not a bad brainless action film.
Due to its faults and the fact that it is just a brainless action movie, it should probably be 4/10... but since they have flashlights actually mounted on their guns and used more makeup than CG it gets bonus points.
