oh yeah, I meant to say Land Rover. The Freelander is called the LR2 over here. They look sweet and are almost half the price of the Range Rover.
You're not talking about the new FJ are you?
That's what I'd want to get if I were going to buy a new SUV.
Not going to happen since I refuse to buy new anymore, but still....
edit: n/m, I know what the LR2 is. Nice vehicle, but I'd still rather have the FJ.

the fj's are cool!
although I still horror stories about how the dealers won't go below MSRP and some even go higher.

rearward viewing is absolutely terrible in the FJ, but other than that, it's a hell of an SUV.

Rook, why don't read a little before you run your mouth. It's obvious that you and several of the people here know absolutely nothing about the H3. You've also never driven one either. You're resting everything you've said on rumor and misconceptions. Go take a test drive. You'll find out that the H3 can climb a 16" step without bottoming out, it can drive on a 45 degree angle without turning over, it can go through 24" of water, it has a shorter turning radius than most sedans, it gets 22 mpg on the highway and has a very ergonomic interior. The H3 is also built for safety with a fully welded steal fame, airbags everywhere and all wheel drive with traction control.

Err, sounds like some people did read a little, and you read a brochure at the dealership.

With all the damn flooding around here. I have to say I was quite envious when I watched the H3 driver plow through the 18" of water on the way to work today. Wile my wive and I had to park her mini economical SUV and hop in with someone else who can get us to the building.
Nice buy and good luck with the car. I'm curious as to how bad the gas guzzling situation would be with that thing. H3 seem alot more practical than the H1 or H2

Oh really? Did you determine all of this from your test drive? Did you drive it at a 45 degree angle, climb a 16" step or drive it through 24" of water?
And yes, it's built on the same frame as a GM pickup.
