This is my buddies turbo 'rocco.

Not bad, don't care for the wheels and it's lowered a bit much, but still...

not bad at all, ABF in it? ( ABA 2L botom, 16V head? )

Haha, yea he's competely into the euro look. Slammed with deep dish rims, and stretched tires.

What don't you like about the rims? I always thought they were pretty good looking.

i like them cuz they fit that era. nice and clean lines too.

Mostly the silver color, doesn't match all the black trim. Black 5 spoke or black mesh (ala BBS) with a silver lip would look much better.

that's what's good about silver - it's neutral.

Not on that car it's not. No more than black wheels on an all white car would be.

Look dude, personal taste and all, but you can't say that the silver wheels on that red Scirocco with black trim do not stand out from the rest of the car and make it look unbalanced. You may like them, but they're far from neutral.

i was oogling them at Le mans, they had 8 of them sitting there and later that they did a single Lap around Mosport.
Limmited at 60Km/h sadly, :/

a few days later i found out that each of those R8's where Cubed... ffs.

But yes, i've seen 3-4 since then, and they are Hot as hell... i cant wait for the V10 TDI.

I got to stand next to one and take pictures of it with my cellphone last year. I'll see if I can get those pics for ya.

I've had them for a while, just didn't have the time to do it. Now i have time. Same with the brakes, did those up a coupe days ago tomorrow I'll finish a water temp gauge... haven't put in the sensor yet.

there's still two performance type installs i still have to do... one, a shop needs to weld in some brackets for the rear suspension and the other, a smaller harmonic balancer. i'll probably do that one at my friends place.

i do like the lights though. as much as i like the retro styling of the stang, those fit the bill.

ah yes. we were at a gasstation/servicestation a whislt back and a R8 rolled up. the dude parked it and went away for a while. sexy beast it is.
