But tension is great isn't it?! Like on the preview I saw where Lumen is at home on the phone with Dex and she's freaking out because SOMEONES COMING IN THE DOOR *end preview*

Then the episode actually happens and the apparent chain of events is:

Astor and friend get drunk.
Astor and friend take a cab to the house from the bus station.
Astor, breaking into her own house with a friend there, has her friend help. She has both a front door and back door key, and drunkenly tells her friend "Alright, you go around back and I'll go around front and we'll both jiggle the handles for a while and then push on the door. After that, then we'll unlock each door together to come into the empty house, because


the writers suck with stupid shit like that. Dex was a great show that's now something worth keeping on in the background while I cook or work on something.

Dexter can't kill Robocop any more than he could kill Doakes, it's against his rules. Lumen is gonna die, Deb even said something along the lines of, "you can't come back from [torture] like that"

Aye but he already broke the rules this season and besides a bit of Harry in the astor episode not too much otherwise. I still haven't seen this weeks, been trailing a bit.

Isn't the first rule "Don't get caught"?

I just hope it isn't horribly disappointing. The show has been sloppy this year with some real facepalm moments IMO, but it's picked up a bit near the end and with the right finish could make for a decent season. I'll have to go thru them again, but so far I'd put this as the worst season behind 3.

Regardless, looks like shit is about to finally start getting interesting. Can't wait to see Dex/Doakes part deux, likely with Deb right in the middle this time.

Liddy's death looked like self-defense to me. He didn't just come at Dexter with the knife, but tried to stab him in the face while putting all his weight behind it. The whole "scuffle" made no sense. Liddy's an ex-cop who probably still has his gun, so why didn't he sit just out of attack range and simply control Dexter with it?

Dunno...like I said, the show is still good but the writing is getting lazy.

the preview was edited to make it look like that, so much that I doubt it. I predict the gloved hands dropping the knife are in fact Lumen's.
