i'll give the hostel i linked on the other page a call and see what they're like about smoking/drinking etc - that place was pretty good for folks on a budget. any specific questions like support for specific medical or religious needs, post here - will call them tomorrow am.

are other similar places as well, expect to pay about £15 a night for very basic boarding, don't know what that is in eurotokens.

if folks are thinking of booking one of these places, now's the time to do it. this one seemed like the best given the location:

they all have 24 hour check-in, some sort of security, internet access and provide bedding. no-one allows smoking inside the building, so if you want a cigarette or a bifta you'll have to go outside. it's sort of okay to smoke on the street in london, i stay at the ramada by paddington every now and again and no-one's ever hassled me for having a splif on the reception steps.

if enough people want to stay at the same place, you might be able to get a shared room and save a bit more cash.
